Director Lexi Alexander announces three new actors for Punisher movie sequel

Dash Mihok as Detective Martin Soap

On her official blog, Alexander revealed three new cast members and their respective roles. Dash Mihok, who recently appeared in the drama "Hollywoodland," is set to play Detective Martin Soap. In the comics, Soap is the inept—and unfortunate—member of the NYPD who is assigned to bring Frank Castle down.

Colin Salmon, who has had roles in "Tomorrow Never Dies" and "Match Point," will star as Agent Paul Budiansky. Featured in recent issues of THE PUNISHER, Budiansky is a cop who becomes analogous to Frank Castle after making a series of morally gray decisions.

DC COMICS ANNOUNCES NEW DISTRIBUTION PACT WITH RANDOM HOUSE

In a deal that could mark a new phase in mainstream acceptance of graphic novels, DC Comics is switching its book trade distribution to Random House Publisher Services after more than 20 years using Warner Books/Hachette for bookstore distribution. The switch will take place in spring 2008. DC will continue to use Diamond Comics Distributors to distribute to the comics shop market. The change teams one of the largest publishers of comics and graphic novels in the world with the book industry's largest and most far-reaching distribution service.

Exclusive Transformers Movie Comic

IDW has created an exclusive new Transformers comic book that will be given away for free to people who purchase the upcoming Transformers movie DVD at Target stores. This 24-page comic (written by Chris Ryall, drawn by Don Figueroa and Andrew Wildman) will be the same trim size as the DVD case and will contain new content that ties into both the movie and the IDW prequel comic book series. There will also be a special decoder included in the comic that will allow you to unlock text in the comic for use on Target.com.

HALO 3 SERIES 1 - McFarlane Toys

Two powerhouses of pop culture are collaborating, as McFarlane Toys announces a licensing agreement with Microsoft to produce action figures based on the hit video game series Halo®. Halo 3 is scheduled to arrive in stores on September 25, 2007.
